It seems like everyone is getting married all around me. Every day I get a new invite for a wedding, a shower, engagement party, bachelorette trip or a wonderful save the date to start the entire process over.
The worst part is that a date is required for all of these joyous occasions. It's just another reminder that you've been broken up with and now we're going to force you to go to an event where we'll point out the fact that you are alone.
I know you can invite a friend to go as your date, but it's not the same and we all know it. Sadly, I will probably end up asking one of my exes to go to these functions with me. Why? Because, I'd rather be with someone, than no one. Someone who is obviously not the guy for me, but he's attractive and appears successfu and will make me appear successful in return. And most of all, because I'm a girl and I'm dumb.

Dumb Bar Girl
Last night I saw a girl tell the guy she was with, "either you want to be with me or you don't." He replied, "I don't want to be with you." She went outside and cried by herself and then at the end of the night, I saw her get in a car and go home with him. DUMBGIRLMOVE.
This is the beginning...
Well, here it goes. I recently got out of a relationship that I didn't really want to get out of (aka, I was dumped), and while I should just move on and leave what's broken alone...I am a girl, and I am an idiot.
This guy is not good. I know this and I know that I deserve better, but I still make myself look like a damn fool when he's around. I'm looking stupid and I absolutely hate it.
So, I started wondering why I was doing this and I came to the conclusion that girls are really just dumb creatures. While my current situation is the final blow, this scenario is all too familiar and I've seen almost all of my friends go through the exact same thing.
I wanted to start this blog to document all of the dumb things I witness or experience that might help explain why we are so screwed up and why these guys have such a hold over us.
